*EASILY OBVIOUS (2024) (HARMONY IN BLUE X WAVES OF JOY) Tet; 5-1/2” blooms; Scape 27-30”; Branches 3; Buds 15,; Midseason; RE when not too stressed with pods; Ext; SEV ; Very fragrant.
When I started hybridizing the modern looks in tetraploid patterns, my goal was to have a bloom whose pattern was distinct from a distance. EASILY OBVIOUS was that daylily from the first day it bloomed.
The lavender-orchid petals are centered with a large blue-purple eyezone. This eyezone is incised with translucent white chevrons along the midribs which wash along the edges into the eyezone color. . Pale bluish chevrons on the sepals are indented and appear to be translucent. This trait is easily passed onto its seedlings, resulting in some extraordinary ‘looks’. A deep purple mascara eye surrounds the eyezone The large white throat centers the blooms and creates a focal point for the patterns. Deep throat color is chartreuse. A deep purple picotee edges the petals. This is a striking bloom best seen and appreciated in person as there are so many different attributes contributing to the blooms. Very popular with visitors the past couple of years. $100.00

This beautiful lavender purple diploid double has never thrown a single bloom, as far as I know . The large blooms are covered in dark purple veining on both the sepals and petals. Finely Wired throws lovely 100% double seedlings in all colors, and with that fantastic branching and tall scapes. A very fine addition to the double genre’ of daylilies, one which will last for many years in popularity! This daylily was featured in the seedlings section of the recent AHS book on double daylilies. $125.00
GIMMEE THAT SUGAR (Ruby Dragon x Luxurious) SPK. ;5-1/2” TO 6” bloom; 25-28” scape; 3 branches; 12-16 buds; Midseason reblooms
As soon as I saw this beauty as a seedling I knew I would give it a name! I was astounded that Luxurious would throw stippled patterns! This one is super special, as it looks good enough to eat! Creamy pink petals are covered in bright pink sprinkles, and a fancy cream edge of toothy crimped ruffles surround the petals and also the sepals. The throat is brilliant green, which further sets off this lushness. This beauty is fertile both ways, and I have several new speckled kids from it to play with. Very nice and shows well in the garden. A favorite with the ladies who visited the garden! $100
PARADE OF COLORS 2024 {(BOLD AWAKENING X NATURE'S BLUE WAVES) X CHAOTIC DESIGN) X TECHNICOLOR EXPLOSION. Diploid Bloom 7 to 7-1/2"; Scape 30"; Branches 3-4; Buds 15; Mid late; SEV; Reblooms; Diurnal; Fragrant
The petals start the day light cream fading to near white in a couple of hours. Eye zone pattern is wide and a cacophony of lavender, purple, mulberry and gray tones in bands around a green throat. The deep purple edges of the eyezone bleed out onto the petal color. Petal edges are ruffled with a wire edge of gold. This makes a stunning landscape plant! It is also proving to be a great parent for large flowered, hardy pattern diploids. Fertile both ways. $100
St. Katherine Boulevard, 2024 introduction. This is a 7-1/2" to 8" flower held on at least a 40 " scape with 4-5 way branching. It is extended and fragrant, not an EMO. Tends to start blooming here ML and reblooms. This is a stunner, but not too many visitors have seen it in bloom as it does bloom later in the season. Named for the street our Florida townhouse is located. HOLDING FOR INCREASE
Swallowed A Zebra ( BOWTIE AFFAIR X RIPPLES AND REFLECTIONS) 18-1 ;Tet; SEV; 7-1/2" bloom; 28" scape; 4-6 way branching; 14-16 buds; EMO; EXT; fertile both ways
This is a stunning bloom no matter how you look at it. The huge size of the blooms turn heads, and the color is vivid and clear. Purple petals and sepals are both centered with a deep blue violet eyezone which is incised with near white chevrons and arrow shaped splotches. The petals also sport large white shark's teeth. A wonderful parent, this plant was used as a pollen parent from its maiden bloom, and the kids are striking! Many of its seedlings are shown in the 2023 seedling page. That pattern is given to the seedlings along with the lovely plant habit. A really special tet patterned daylily! sold out for 2024 $150
Seedling RD-LUX 3-20
Scape 29", 3-4 branches, 15 buds or more, Blooms are 5-3/4", Dormant, Fragrant, Midseason, Reblooms,
This is just a gorgeous daylily! It has clear ruby petals and sepals with spiky white teeth up to 1/2" wide. A lighter red halo on the petals sets off the bright green throat. Plant is very healthy even in the past year's drought conditions. Fertile both ways. DISPLAY
Diploid (LITTLE ALABAMA X LITTLE ALABAMA) Scape 10-12", Bloom 1-1/2", 2-3 branches sometimes better, Semi-evergreen, Blooms late midseasom, then reblooms.
This is a TINY little guy! Grows very fast, and makes a really cute little clump as you can see in the pic. The red/burgundy blended petals have chamois colored midribs. The sepals are nearly white with heavily stipples pink and burgundy. Petals and sepals have a very ruffled chamois edge which sometimes glitters with diamond dusting. Pollen is very fertile, sometimes pods if not too dry. I really love this little daylily for its size of bloom and wonderful plant habit! It is very close to my idea of the 'Teacup' line I am striving to produce. I will release just a few plants of this little beauty in Spring 2025. Contact me for price.
